The 2025 Marin Rift Zone EL1 ("Electric Light") is designed for trail riders who want the agility of a traditional mountain bike with the added boost of a modern motor. By repurposing the legendary Rift Zone platform into a lighter electric package, the EL1 offers a versatile and nimble ride that bridges the gap between acoustic bikes and full-powered eMTBs.

Lightweight Electric Trail Performance

At the core of the Rift Zone EL1 is the Bosch Performance Line SX motor. This mid-drive system provides up to 600W of peak power and 55Nm of torque, offering a natural pedaling feel that rewards high-cadence riding. Paired with an integrated 400Wh battery, it delivers plenty of range for fast-paced trail sessions without the heavy weight of traditional e-bikes.
